I’ve been wanting to go back to Europe for quite some time now. So, a few weeks ago, I submitted an application for a long-stay visa in France. Then I booked an appointment with a company called VSF Global here in Toronto for July 19th. If all goes well, and my renewed passport arrives in time, I’ll be off in September.
It’s been almost two years since I’ve been to France—and I can’t wait to go back. The food, the wine, the beautiful beaches, those baguettes. The warm weather and the sun. What’s not to love?
I also decided that this time while I’m abroad, I’ll completely document my journey on this website and through my social media (I may even start a podcast). Not only do I plan on living in France, but I also want to work abroad as a freelance writer/ editor. I could also offer digital marketing services … anything involving online content creation and social media. I’ve been working in communications for the past 6 years … I’ve certainly learned a lot.
I’ll become a digital nomad (really this is a thing, Wikipedia can tell you all about it). I really feel like if I don’t do this now, I’ll completely regret it. I already wish that I did this sooner. To me that is SUCH a sign. You know when you have an idea burning inside you or a strong passion dying to be let loose? That’s what moving abroad again feels like to me. I just have to do it.
Comment here if you love France—or tell me about your favourite place to travel to 🙂 I’d love to hear from you!
Here are some of my photos from my last trip to France in 2016. While on this trip, I worked on a biography for an inspiring person named Richard Dell.
And photos of the food 🙂
Until next time,
